My Story
Hey and welcome to the Squidoo Maestro blog! I’m Mitja! I come from Slovenia and I found a way to earn money with Squidoo. I don’t earn millions, but I’ve received several 4-figure paydays from Squidoo. I want to teach you to do it the same.
Are you wondering how I found Squidoo and what’s my story? I’ll answer on these questions below and try to inspire you, too!
Before I sat down in front of the computer for the first time, I knew that I’m going to like it. Well, at the beginning I didn’t even know how to install a PC game, so I started to learn how to work with the computer. The journey so far was amazing.
What Made Me Do It To Start Looking for Something New?
I had a problem. I had a $1,833.33 debt of scholarship and I wanted to get some money, so I could pay the debt. I decided to work some summer jobs for students. Every time I worked, I couldn’t stand it. After one month I had enough of it. I don’t like when people say what or how should I work. You probably know how I felt.
I also needed money to go on summer vacations. So I worked that kind of jobs, but it’s really not good to be without control, because others can easily manipulate with you. The main reason for starting online business was my debt. That’s why I decided to work on my own and to find something I’ll love to do.
It All Started Because of the Debt
Because of the debt I started to learn the first steps on how to earn money online. I read everything I could about IM. Before that I didn’t like to read, but I can’t stop now. I really enjoy reading. I encourage you to read and learn new things every single day.
I love working at home. I’m my own “boss” and I can work whenever I want. I read hundreds of e-books, e-reports, watched some courses and webinars. I subscribed to almost every internet marketing site, that was owned by some guru or marketer. My old e-mail is full of spam offers, but you can’t imagine how much you can learn from free gifts and bonuses.

I bought few products for which I knew I really need for my progress. If you want to really be successful, invest in yourself and business. Grow. Don’t be afraid to fail. Failing is good. If you don’t fail, you won’t reach your goals.
No Money? No Problem!
I started with ClickBank, but I couldn’t buy hosting and domain to have my landing page, because I didn’t have any money yet. I used EzineArticles for writing articles. For my landing page I used Squidoo, because it was free. And it still is. I found Squidoo because of article marketing. I read that Google likes Squidoo so this was another good point for me to join other lensmasters.
I wrote 5 articles and published them at EzineArticles. Some of them were on the first page of Google and two of them were ranking at the #1 position in Google for the keywords I was targeting. I got thousands of visitors to my articles because of this, but not so much to my lens.
First Sale Came Quickly!
In my first week with EzineArticles and Squidoo I managed to sell an e-book (a book about “How To Get Your Ex Back”). The feeling was awesome!
And Then Shock!
Squidoo banned my lens, because the lens topic came on SquidDon’t list. Spammers were guilty for this. I was disappointed and stopped with EzineArticles. I also abandoned Squidoo for almost 1 year.
Well, the debt is gone now. I didn’t return the money with money earned through Squidoo. I found other ways. But I remember how working for others was really a pain in the ass for me! I’ve returned back to Squidoo and I’ve been determined to succeed. With Squidoo earnings I’m able to buy cool things for myself.
When I returned to Squidoo I made my second lens. The lens is about my favorite football club. I created it because I like to play football. This lens (FC Barcelona) brought lots of money and still is. It was in Tier 1 for a really long time!
In November 2010 I seriously started with Squidoo. Meanwhile I had a surgery and I could only lie on my bed and work on the laptop. I managed to get FC Barcelona lens in Tier 1. I learned how to get more traffic and I also made a few new lenses. From that time on I’m making more and more money on Squidoo. Now I’m obsessed with it. Squidoo can be really addictive. Be careful 
. I check my stats on Squidoo every day.
Because of Squidoo income I was able to buy some great e-books from great internet marketing people, a program like Market Samurai (my personal best keyword research program), my blog, premium plugins and much more. I also bought some lenses!
If you haven’t started with Squidoo yet, you can start with it by clicking here. In any case, it’s worth to be on Squidoo. You can write about anything you want. You just need to do a good keyword research if you want to get some decent traffic. It’s good for SEO. It’s a great backlink source for your money website if you have one.
Why Have I Created Squidoo Maestro?
The main reason is YOU. I want to teach you how to earn money on Squidoo. Perhaps it won’t work the same as it did for me, but maybe it will work even better for you! I know that working a 5-9 job is hard and I want to show you that you CAN make money online. With new money income your life can become better and happier.
It’s possible for you to earn money on Squidoo and I want to give you a lot of useful advice on how to do it. I’m not here to brag. I want to help you. I’ll write about my successes and failures, so you won’t make mistakes I made. Everything on this blog will be from my experiences and I won’t write about something I didn’t use or try.
My highest lensrank on Squidoo is #36 overall (this lens). My goal was to get one lens on the top 100 list. I managed to get more than 1 on that list. I’m also a GiantSquid and SquidAngel.

Squidoo is not a “get rich quick” scheme. If you want to make money on Squidoo, you need to work hard. Be patient. Don’t give up!
