Great Squidoo Challenge Is Over!

Zero days left and zero lenses to create! This means that I completed my challenge! The challenge was about making 30 lenses in 30 days. I started on 29 July and finished it yesterday, 30 days after the start. I decided to create 30 lenses in 30 days after I saw this thread on SquidU forum, which was started by Khaleeka. This is why I didn’t publish new posts here on my blog. I was working a lot on my new lenses, I made a keyword and competition research for all 30 lenses and a little off-site optimization, only on some forums.

Khaleeka’s post motivated me and I said to myself: “How good would it be to create 30 lenses in 30 days.” At that time I only had 64 lenses.

I created a lens where you can see my created lenses in this challenge. I would be very happy if you will leave a comment and tell me if you will do this kind of challenge too.

At the beginning I was thinking about the project and how hard it will be to succeed. But if you’re focused, nothing can stop you! I knew that I have to create new lenses, because Halloween is getting closer and closer. I decided to create a lot of Halloween lenses and now I don’t regret this. But why have I decided to create lenses about costumes and masks? Because last year several lensmasters had great succees with that kind of lenses and they received big paydays. I had several sales in August from SquidBoo lenses and that’s a great sign. Now only off-site optimization can bring even greater results.

SquidBoo

Did you create any SquidBoo lenses? If not, you need to start right away! People are buying costumes like crazy in this time of the year! I expect magic from these lenses!

Back to my challenge. It was time to get serious with Squidoo. Now I can create one lens from scratch in no time and I enjoy creating them, because I know hard work always pays off. But more important than hard work is smart work! Several lensmasters started with this challenge and I wish them great success. I hope all of them will end the challenge on the right time.

Now I need to write back-up articles for my lenses, to get some good backlinks. I will write on LiveJournal, Xanga, Blogger and other platforms. We need backlinks to show Google that our lens is important and to gain some authority. I will also do some social bookmarking to promote my newly created lenses. A lot of these lenses are now in tier 2 and I think they have potential to rise up to tier 1 in October with all the traffic, sales and clicks.

Why is this kind of challenge good? Because you tell other people what you will do and you don’t want to disappoint them – You don’t want to be a loser. You have set up the finish date and you really have to focus and motivate for work. Even if you fail to complete it on time, don’t worry, because you have several new lenses, which will bring you almost a passive income.

How to start with this kind of challenge? Here are my tips for creating lenses:

1. Niche and keyword research with Market Samurai

2. Competition research with Market Samurai

3. Explore competition sites within your niche and see what they are doing

4. Create better content and provide value

5. Publish your lens

It was so easy to find several hot keywords with Market Samurai. I was looking for costumes and the program found many of those. Then I selected those keywords that have a great search volume and I looked at the competition.

It was easy to find what people are looking for. Market Samurai provided me first 10 competitors to analyze. I looked at what they are doing, how much content they have etc. Because of MS I can spend more time on building links.

Then I registered new lenses, so I could have great SEO urls and then I put up pictures, content and products. I’m very glad I invested in Market Samurai, because I don’t know if I would be able to create so many lenses without it. I would lost a lot of time with manual keyword and competition research and we all know that time is money. Invest in your business, because investing can bring you higher payouts. Market Samurai also has a free trial version and if you will enjoy working with it, I suggest that you buy it in 7 days, because you will get it more cheaply. If you will try it and then buy it through my links, you have to know that I will get some affiliate commission for this.

Market Samurai

I hope September and October will be successful months with a lot of sales. Now it’s time to make backlinks to my Squidoo lenses. Would you also like to take this challenge? Tell us below in the comments area and don’t forget to check our next post, where I’ll introduce you to one of the most successful lensmasters Susie Lehto, Tipi on Squidoo.

Best wishes,

Mitja

You have inspired me to enter the 30 day challenge. I will create the 30 Lens in 30 days and try to stay on topic with a certain Niche. I hope my overall views and income goes up with my Lens count. Thanks again.
